Who May Access CACI?

The Department of Social Services (“DSS”), local law enforcement agencies, potential employers, the military, licensing agencies administered by California, child care centers, schools and other employers may access CACI to quickly identify whether a person has ever been investigated for child abuse or neglect. CACI does not give background information regarding the validity of the report or the veracity of the reporter. CACI identifies where the report is filed.
