California's Child Abuse Central Index (CACI)

This following is a discussion of California’s Child Abuse Central Index which is known by the acronym “CACI.” CACI is not the same as Megan’s Law. Megan’s Law serves the very important function of identifying the location of convicted sex offenders to protect the public. CACI lists people as suspected child abusers sometimes without competent evidence and without trial or even a hearing.
